Get Involved!
Learn business information, support
Chamber projects and meet with prospective and current customers
by being involved in a Chamber committee or council. Any
employee of a Chamber member's business or organization is
welcome.
Committees formed
and operating for 2007:

Agri-Business This
committee is made up of a large group of volunteers who are
dedicated to aiding our Weatherford youth who have an
interest in agriculture. They work closely with the Ag.
Teachers to organize and hold a livestock competition in
February and a horse show in May. Prizes, prize money and
judges are paid from donations made by local businesses and
residents. Committee members do the work necessary to hold
the competition. They meet once or twice a month as needed
January through May on Tuesday at 7pm in the chamber office.

Ambassador
Services This group
acts as the “right hand” of the chamber executive. They
greet new businesses, hold ribbon cuttings for all new
businesses, provide welcome packets for new members. They
all coordinate the member orientation services.

Tourism and
Recreation This group actively works to promote tourism and
commerce in Weatherford. The group assembles tour package
and coordinates with Tour Bus officials and other travel
services to promote Weatherford. Additionally, this
committee organizes and creates an annual Weatherford
Brochure.

Education These
volunteers are available as a support to private and
public education in Weatherford. They organize the SWOSU
President's Picnic and raise money to provide the Chamber
with an intern from SWOSU. Additionally, the committee works
to support and aid in the education of the youth and adults
in Weatherford.

Public
Affairs
These volunteers aid with establishing
relationships with Federal, State, County and City government. They also coordinate
political forums and organize an annual city employee
appreciation picnic.
